I have read conflicting things regarding toner. Some experts say you need a toner some say you do not. Toners are suppose to tighten and refine pores therefore making them appear smaller. They also remove any residue from your cleanser. I guess I've always used a toner and I just like the way it feels. But you definitely need to use a toner that is right for your skin. I think it is safe to say that most skin types should stay away from toners with alcohol in them (these are really astringents). Alcohol can be very drying to skin.
