I found two primers that I really like equally as well and they are both formulated with natural ingredients. The first one is simply called Face Primer and it is by Korres. This has vitamin E and is probably a little more moisturizing than the one from tarte that I will talk about next. It is a great primer and does all it is supposed to. The next one is from a company called tarte. It is called clean slate. This one has a little more "slip" and feels very velvety. Both of these products have ingredients that act as treatment products as well. They both can be ordered from www.sephora.com

I also like to use an eyelid primer. Once you use a good one you will be hooked. They create an even canvas over your entire eye and lid and make your eye shadows go on very nice and stay true to their color instead of turning a funky color later on as the day goes by. The problem with most, that I have tried anyway, is that they actually make your eye shadow crease. Even if you don't wear eye shadow this just gives a nice lift to the eye. I found two that are good. The first one (the one I like best) is from Trish McEvoy and it is called Eye Base Essentials. I use the color called Bare. You can order if from www.qvc.com It is item #A89163. This is not an all natural product. The next one is called lifted and it is from tarte (same company that has the clean slate face primer.) This one does not have as much coverage but it is an all natural product. I do not really wear much foundation.

I wear a tinted mositurizer from a company called 100% Pure. This is truly an all natural, mostly organic product. It is called 100% Pure SPF 20 Tinted Moisturizer with Fruit Pigments. I order it from www.qvc.com and the item # is A82300. Sometimes I wear a mineral makeup in the summer. I use the one most people are familiar with from Bare Escentuals. It is Bare Escentuals SPF 15 Mineral Foundation. I order mine from www.qvc.com the item # A17648. I like to use a kabuki brush to apply it. The item # for the brush is A32535. There is definitely a learning curve to applying this foundation and the mistake that most people make is that they apply too much. When you open the container, there is usually enough in the lid to cover your face. As a comparison, it is about the amount of cinnamon that you would shake on top of your latte. You swirl your brush around in the lid and then tap out the excess and then buff it into skin. That is why I like the kabuki brush because it has more surface area and is better for buffing in my opinion. I wear either the 100% Pure tinted moisturizer or this but not both.

I also like to wear a light illuminating powder. This gives me that "candlelight" glow without looking too matte or too shiny. There are two that I really like. One is from Laura Gellar and is called Optilusion Complexion Powder SPF 8. You can order it from www.lauragellar.com This is not an all natural product and it does have some parabens but I really like it and this is when vanity trumps natural! It does not very often so that is my justification. There is also another powder that is pretty close to this and it is all natural and you can get it at the drugstore. It is from Physician's Formula and it is called Talc-Free 100% Mineral Facebrightener. It really is very light and gives a nice glow. I never have liked to wear powder because I always felt it makes you look older but these powders that have brighteners give you such a nice soft glow. They even look great over bare skin.
